The protesters in Russia are demanding respect for the law and its amendment in accordance with the letter of the constitution, and also perhaps to start the debate on the imperfections of the Russian constitution in the near future. As a result, changes in the system will inevitably be evolutionary rather than revolutionary. The demonstrators want, above all, to prevent the regime from tampering with the results of the elections rather than to force the democratisation of Russia at this current stage.
