The theme of the book "TECH. A Critique of the Technological Environment." is the issue of the implementation of new technologies by 2040 and the resulting evolutionary technological environment, as well as the issue of human and environmental mechanisation. The contemporary expansion of techniques has led to the creation of a new technological environment that is increasingly dynamic, expansive and is increasingly becoming the real environment and context of human life. This environment is absorbing the space of the natural environment to produce, over the next two decades, through information technology, robotics and biotechnology, its own synthetic life forms that threaten human civilisation. Understanding this issue is crucial, as the coming decades of expansion of the technological environment will produce a context for life on Earth that will irrevocably change humans and the entire environment. The technical environment will take over the space of the natural environment and the humans living in it, leading to dramatic changes in the rationalisation, standardisation and subsequent mechanisation of the entire world.
