Atomic Habits is a proven and scientifically based method for forming good habits and getting rid of bad habits. The foundation of the book is a model of habits consisting of four steps (cues, desires, reactions and rewards) and the four laws of behaviour change that follow from these steps. The assumptions presented by the author represent an integrated model based on cognitive and behavioural science. In his view, it is one of the first models of human behaviour to take into account the influence of both external stimuli and internal emotions on habits. While some of the terms may be familiar, some of the details - and the application of the four laws of behaviour change - will show readers a new approach to habits.
