A fine Rossini opera, once very famous especially for the noble “Prayer of Moses,” but neglected in the 20th century along with the rest of Rossini’s non-comic operas. This 1968 revival in Munich with an international cast of major-name singers is considered the finest of all recorded versions. A Rossini rarity at a rare price!
