A guide to the back roads of the afterlife UA

When Max first saw the ghosts, he mistakenly assumed that everyone else could see them too. Now he is determined to do everything he can to become normal. But he has a whole summer ahead of him with his eccentric grandfather Remhart, so his dream of normalcy will have to be postponed. Grandpa lives in the town of Siaivopil. The bakeries here sell enchanted pies, the lake is teeming with mermaids, ghosts roam free, and Remhart is the world's most famous monster hunter. All Max has to do is survive this summer, but gradually he begins to realise that he has finally found a place where he feels good. But suddenly everything changes. The forces of the otherworld steal Remhart's soul, and Max and his friends must go in search of his grandfather's famous Guide - an enchanted book that contains all the knowledge of the afterlife. And if they don't find it quickly, the town and its inhabitants are in great danger.
