Po czterdziestu latach od premiery film Potop (nominowany w 1975 roku do Oscara) został poddany restauracji cyfrowej. Po obejrzeniu odnowionego materiału Jerzy Hoffman, z myślą o współczesnym widzu, podjął decyzję o przemontowaniu filmu i przywróceniu go na ekrany w doskonałej jakości i atrakcyjnej formie. Efektem jest Potop Redivivus (Potop odrodzony). Przygody Andrzeja Kmicica w czasach szwedzkiego najazdu na Polskę i walka bohatera o serce Oleńki Billewiczówny zyskały nowy wymiar.
Forty years after the release of The Deluge (nominated for an Academy Award in 1975), the film has been subjected to digital restoration. After seeing the restored material, Jerzy Hoffman, with the contemporary viewers in mind, decided to recut the film and bring it back on the screen in a superb quality and attractive form. The effect is The Deluge Redivivus (The Deluge Revived). The adventures of Andrzej Kmicic during the Swedish invasion of Poland and the fight of the protagonist for the heart of Oleńka Billewiczówa gained a new dimension.
